Working with Home Assignments

⚠️ Important! Home Assignment must be attached to the specific lesson for which students are expected to complete it.

"Journal" Section

  1. Go to the Journal section.
  2. Select the required date, section and subject.
  3. Click the ... button in the class column.
  4. In the dropdown list, select Assignment under the Actions header. Fig. 1. Journal section

  5. Fill in the fields in the home assignment creation window.

  6. Describe the home assignment in text.
  7. Add links to videos or websites.
  8. Attach files or presentations.
  9. Add a prepared quizz if needed.
  10. Select whether the task requires manual review. If the assignment includes a quizz and the “Assignment needs to be checked” toggle is off, the quizz result will be calculated automatically. If the quizz contains free response questions, reviewing the student’s answer will be required as a part of the home assignment check.

ℹ️ If you click ... in the class column and choose Agenda/Topic, a class topic editing window will pop up.Here a teacher also has an option to add a quizz. If a teacher adds a quizz here, the class topic is automatically converted into home assignment.

  1. Save the assignment.
  2. Check if a checkmark appears next to "Assignment" and that the book icon in the column header changes to green.

  3. Ensure that the assignment appears in the student’s Gradebook.

Home Assignment Review Process

  1. Go to the Assignments section.
  2. Enter the filter parameters: date, teacher, subject, assignment, section, upload date, and the "Review" status .
  3. Click 🔍 to search.
  4. Click Actions next to the student whose home assignment needs to be checked and select "View".
  5. In the Information tab, download the student’s files by clicking the blue arrow under the file.
  6. If the home assignment is incomplete or incorrect, click Decline.
  7. Add comment and send the home assignment back for improvement.
  8. If the home assignment is completed correctly, click Give a Grade.
  9. Enter the grade, select the grade type, and click Submit.
  10. If needed, check “Record grade in Journal”.
  11. Click Submit after review is completed.

Quizz Review

  1. Go to the Assignments section.
  2. Enter the filter parameters: date, teacher, subject, “Quizz” assignment type, section, upload date, and status "In progress" or "Review".

ℹ️ The assignment will appear as "In progress" if manual review was enabled and the student did not upload a file, or as "Review" if the “Assignment needs to be checked” toggle is off.

  1. Click 🔍 to search.
  2. Click Actions next to the student and select "View".
  3. In the Information tab, click on the quizz to review it.
  4. Click Give a Grade to evaluate the quizz.
  5. Enter the grade, select the “Quizz” grade type, and enable “Record grade in Journal” if needed.
  6. If the quizz contains free response questions, enter the number of points for each answer.
  7. Click Submit after scoring.

⚠️ Important! The score for each question follows the quizz’s internal scoring system. The maximum score cannot exceed the predefined limit.
