Create a group/interest club¶
If you need to combine students from different sections into one group (not by age, but by interests, for example, robotics, theater, debates, chess, media, speaking club), you can create a group in the "Subsections" section. The difference from a subsection is that when creating a group you do not need to specify a main section. Such a group can include students from different sections of different grade levels or from different sections within the same grade level.
To create such a group:
- Select "Settings" -> "Sections" in the panel menu on the left.
- In the top-right corner of the page, click "Subsections" button.
- Click the "Add" button in the top-right corner.
- Enter the group name, teacher, subject, and check "Active". Leave the "Main Section" field empty.
- To distinguish a group from a subsection of a specific section in the general list, pay attention to the "Main Section" column. A group will have no value. In the list of subjects in the journal filter, the group will be marked by two consecutive hyphens before its name.
