Assignments Section

⚠️ Access to the system with appropriate permissions is required to work with this section.
⚠️ Tasks assigned in this section are not included in the PDF version of the Journal. To display an assignment in the printed version of the Journal, it must be assigned through the Online Journal.

Steps

  1. Open the Assignments section to assign, view, modify, and track assignment statuses.

  2. To find an assignment, enter the following parameters in the filter fields: date, teacher, subject, assignment, student, section, upload date, status.

  3. Click the 🔍 button to search.

  4. To reset filters, click the red ❌ button.

  5. To find ungraded assignments, select Review in the Status field.

  6. Click the search button 🔍. The list will display assignments that require grading.

  7. To view assignment details, find it in the list.

  8. Click the Actions button on the right side of the assignment.

  9. Select the View option.

  10. To edit or cancel an assignment, click the Actions button next to the required assignment.

  11. Choose Edit to make changes or Cancel to delete the assignment.

  12. Assignment statuses indicate their condition:
    - "In progress" – the student is working on the assignment.
    - "Review" – the response is uploaded but not yet reviewed.
    - "Completed" – the assignment is reviewed and graded.
    - "Cancelled" – the assignment is deleted or invalid.

How to Add a New Assignment in the "Assignments" Menu Tab

  1. Click the "Add" button in the top-right corner of the page.
  2. Fill in the required fields:

    - if needed, select a pre-made template for assigning the home assignment. See the Home Assignment Template guideline;
    - fill in the assignment content in the "Assignment" field (use markdown or the WYSIWYG editor to style the assignment format);
    - select the subject the assignment is being given for;
    - if needed, attach uploaded files (images, PDF documents, media files);
    - if needed, add a pre-made quiz from the drop-down list of available quizzes;
    - specify the final due date for the home assignment;
    - turn the toggle on or off for whether the assignment requires manual review by the teacher;
    - turn the toggle on or off for whether uploading a file with the completed homework is mandatory for the student;
    - define who the assignment is assigned to: section/subsection, individual student(s), and any pre-made tags.

  3. Click "Submit".
