Attestation Types Settings

⚠️ This section is available to the Administrator/School Principal.

Overview

The “Attestation Types” section (“Settings” → “Attestation Types”) is designed for creating and managing text-based attestation marks that can be used in the Journal instead of numeric grades.

Properly configured attestation types ensure correct representation of students’ performance results in the Journal and reporting documentation.

Attestation types are used in cases where a student needs to be assigned a special mark instead of a numerical grade, for example:

  • Not assessed (n/a)
  • Exempted (ex.)
  • Credited (cr.)
  • Not credited
  • Not evaluated

How to create a new attestation type

  1. Go to “Settings” → “Attestation Types”.
  2. Click the “Add” button in the top-right corner of the page.
  3. In the creation form, fill in the required fields:
    • attestation type;
    • short name (a short label displayed in the Journal and reports);
    • “General type?” checkbox (this option defines where the attestation mark will be available in the Journal:
      • — the attestation mark will be available in the dropdown list in any Journal cell regardless of grade type or class;
      • — available only in grade types where it is supported by system logic for attestation grades: thematic, semester, annual, state final attestation);
  4. Click “Submit”.

How to edit an attestation type

  1. Go to “Settings” → “Attestation Types”.
  2. Find the required attestation type in the list.
  3. Open the context menu on the right.
  4. Click “Edit”.
  5. Make the necessary changes.
  6. Click “Submit”.
